most miniature steam engines use liquid nitrogen because it is heated into 'steam' at room temperature. I really doubt that this engine actually boils water.

No, because frost=water. Steam water is H2O, while 'steam' liquid nitrogen is N2 (nitrogen) I'm sure some water vapour condenses from the air onto the outside of the boiler, but there wouldn't be any water on the inside where it matters.

The title of the clip is "Steam Turbine" so I guess it's running from Steam.
The pressurized cannister on the back? errr, do you think that could be propane for the burner?
The only thing I don't grasp is where I can get one, I love it !!
