That video was almost ten minutes long, it had good advice, without a word about helmets. All you hear today is "wear a helmet". I like this video because it shows how not to get hit by a car, without wearing a helmet. A helmet isn't going to help you iof you get squished under the wheels of a car. You remember being a kid before the helmet was invented? Someone would always say "stay on the right side of the road". Today the one-liner is "wear a helmet".

I do believe you're right AviationMetalSmith. And some Bicycle Messangers would do well to listen to that "Look out for the other fellow" message. Also, I like that it mentions taking care of your bike. Most kids trash their bikes, then demand new ones. I don't believe this video is outdated at all. Good manners, safety, and responsibility never go out of style.

If you're curious about Schwinn, they went bankrupt in 2001 after buying GT, and Schwinn/GT was purchased at auction by Pacific cycles, who has been trying for the "Most lawsuits incurred from manufacturing carelessness" award since it was founded.
