Hakeem played with a bunch of crackheads in late 80's. Sampson got injured. Russell was a 44% FG shooter for his career....AS A CENTRE! That's a terrible % for a guard much less a centre people are calling "the greatest ever". Hakeem's post season scoring avg. is nearly 10 ppg more than Russ

First of those are Jordan's rings not Pippens. Secondly, you originally argued that Hakeem was a better defensive player than Russell and now you bring FG% into the argument. Overall, Russell is the superior player, especially defensively, and overall leadership.

Rebounds per game? Look at the pace these guys played at, that's why we see a lot of astronomical numbers posted in that era not being able to be reached in later years, not because of skill level. There's a couple of times during the video that the commentator(s) would say Russell was 36 by 1969 or during his last year (1969) finals games. If I'm not mistaken (and if I am, please correct me), but I thought King Bill was only 35 when he played his final game. Are the 2 announcers in this vid incorrect? Thanks.
