Shad K Interview
Uploaded by: mindyourmind
Video Description:
Rapper Shad K grew up in London, Ontario, but has roots in Kenya and Rwanda. With strong political views, this MC takes hip hop to its younger days, and raps more about people, as everyday royalty, rather than bling or bang. He tells us, "taking away, what I love in music, just for the sake of making money, doesn't make sense". An activist and part-time master's student in Vancouver, BC, Shad balances his music career and education, choosing both, while most usually feel torn to choose one over the other. Creativity and self-expression are at the top of this "Old Prince's" roster. Find out more about Shad's rap and positivity in our video interview; and just so you know, you won't wanna miss his a cappella at the end!
