Yep, this is what I don't get with them: why do they have to announce so quickly and scroll for so long?! Before the refurbishment they would either say "class 170 turbostar" on the screens, or "this train is for: hull.... the next station is: selby", but now it just scrolls the next stop all the time!
Just be glad you didn't get diverted via salford crescent, victoria, and the Calder Valley - the sign would have been scrolling for about an hour!
