'Those of us who knew him best talk about him often. I swear, the stuff he pulled. Sometimes makes me sad though, - Andy being gone. I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged. Their feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. But still, the place you live in is much more drab & empty that they're gone. I guess I just miss my friend' APPROVED & the ending is one of the best in movie history.

I have seen like a million movies, but this is the only movie that has ever given me something back apart from entertainment..hope..every time I feel I hav lost something, and feel like just giving up, I think of andy.. If he had not given up hope after 19 yrs, how could I..Shawshank redemption along with th egodfather are by far the greatest movies ever made in my opinion
