An original London 78! WOW! Of course, this is anodyne compared to Little Richard version, and even some of the lyrics have been altered so that US audiences don't get offended by "She knows how to love me, yes indeed".
From what I know, Pat Boone is a thoroughly decent man, who would have had no control over what the record company told him to sing.
I agree that Little Richard might not have had a career if Pat Boone hadn't had hits like Long Tall Sally and Tutti Frutti.

The real crime here is that the "powers that be" decreed it was inappropriate for a mainstream (white) audience to be exposed to the original versions of the songs that Pat Boone rerecorded - insulting and degrading both the original black artists and the white population, as well as making a pariah out of poor Pat Boone. The fact that the original songwriters still got paid is not really the point, it's still an example of segregation.
