| What more do people want? She told him that she would let him go and he said no. If he took her up in the offer and she went back on her word I would agree that she was a liar. She isn't being a martyr, she loves him and she is seeing how much he is really being effected and trying do what she can about it. You can't help who you love (just how you deal with it). |

| I also think that her asking Sonny that was her thinking that her father was proably resopnible for the hit and run. Knowing that Brenda almost died and her making amends for her father's actions. |

| (Respectfully)You give Lily a lot of credit...and I understand what your saying. I don't think Lily is an awful person either. She loves Sonny and saw an opportunity to get what she wanted. But I'm afraid the consequences of her action will cause her to forever live in doubt where Brenda or any other woman is concerned b/c their marriage was a business deal. I do feel sorry for her being caught up in this mess. But at the end of the day she chose it. |

| Even if Sonny had took Lily up on her offer to walk at the funeral/ I mean wedding, could he have really gotten off that easily. Her father had already erased his leagal troubles and temporarily was in control of his business. What if Rivera would have chosen to keep Sonny's interest or had him killed? Since he didn't go through with the plan to marry Lily their would be nothing to stop him from doing so. |

| NO doubt she choose it but she also tried to fix it the best way she knew how. my family comes from a place where arrange marriages that are nothing more than buisness deals are very common so I can see her point of view. Most people don't blame Sonny for his part in all of this, yes Lily knew she was falling for Sonny more than she should but Sonny was no idiot he knew it too. He saw the potential in alling his self with Lily and her family. |

| A honorable person would't have led somebody on the way Sonny did Lily. He made her feel like there was more to it than what there was, telling her he wanted to take care of her and at one point asking her if she wanted to move in (which Lily turned him down). Just like Lily Sonny knew exactly what he was doing he made sure that he got the power that he had always set out to get. But I still love Sonny he was what turned me onto GH in the first place. |

| I agree...being from a country where arranged marriages are NOT the norm, it's unconceivable to think anyone would willing enter into a commitment such as marriage w/o love or with only one person being in love. Maybe that's why we tend to place more of the blame on Lily. I can see how from that perspective Lily would be more favorable. |

| I don't blame Lily at all. She made her choice just like Sonny made his. We all know that Sonny had to marry Lily to stay out of jail. Plus, Sonny wasn't going to turn down the opportunity to have more power in the mob world. What it all comes down to is that Sonny didn't trust Brenda. Period. That's why I love the convo he has with Luke. He can dream a life with Brenda but he didn't know how to make it a reality. He thinks he can live without love but he knows he can't live without trust. |
