This discusses the final moments of James Dean's life.He died in a car accident back on the 30th of September of 1955. This brief segment tries to answer the question of whether he was speeding in his Porsche Spider or not,just prior to the accident that claimed his life at the tender age of 24 y

I think Tripke is biased. Didn't like JD. I think Tripke falsified reports, based on the bias, and the fact that James Dean had been ticketed by CHP earlier in the day. He thought the system "did a good job". Easy to do, when you fudge facts on accident reports that are admissable in court, and the deceased cannot defend themselves. Written interviews by the driver of the 1951 ford (other car) say he "couldn't see" dean, and he "didn't think" he was exceeding the speed limit.

He was a rebel for that time period, he died in a car crash and thats awful. Try to blame everybody else, what for, it doesnt change the fact that he is dead. If he wouldnt have been in the movies, nobody would raise any questions nor accusations. Let him rest in peace. Thats exactly what the media wants, keep everybody talking. Who would be a rebel in our days? Brad Pitt? Considering I wasnt even born in Deans time.

Who fucking cares?! He's dead!!!! It doesn't matter how he died, he's still dead. Now to may my respcets to him: James, you were such a beautiful man. I remember in Rebel without a Cause and basically falling in love with you. You were my dream boy. I just always had the thought that if I was around during your time, you would belong to me. I saw your Documentary and just was traumatized of your lost. If you were still living this day you would be the best Actor in the world. I love you. RIP.

I'm no expert but where were the stop signs or stop/go lights? Signals of any kind? Neither driver had anything to go by? How would either driver know what the other was doing? Back in the 50's the roads were pretty lonely. I loved that myself but---it killed a great star.
