| Now this one is a gem - thanks for extracting just the Dean scenes!! What an upside-down world: Dean Martin in the crowd, and Dick Sargent performing. I love Dean, but it's amazing how just a few years after his show he seems so much older, his voice weaker. |

| I had no idea he was diagnosed THAT early. I thought it came on much later, but it does explain a lot, yes. Even here, though, he'll give a certain look once in a while where you can see the `50s Martin and Lewis Dean shining through. | The lack of self-confidence was something to do with being surrounded by young, beautiful people and feeling past it, as I recall! Ridiculous, of course, but it just goes to show that even the biggest stars can doubt their own value. |
