I've watched this more than a few times over the years and I just now realized that while the witch poisoned the vessel w the pestle, they broke the chalice f the palace... she then poisoned the flagon w the dragon... which means both drinks were poisoned!! I'm slippin. How did I not notice this before?

I was little when my parents took me to see this movie. My Father laughed soooo hard at Danny Kaye performing "The Pellet with the Poison" routine, that my family continues to laugh about this to this day!!! LOVE IT!!! 10 + stars :-D

Lol I'm only 24 but my mother made sure that I grew up knowing all about musicals. This one and Hans Christian Anderson were my favorites as a kid. People laugh at me when I talk about all these old movies, but they are the awesomesist!!!!!!! =D

Sorry Am sure you are right, but my childhood memories are of Danny Kaye singing the Sum of the Square song, I'm Hans Christian Anderson etc. and I adored him.... if years after his death he turns out to be not the fantastic person I thought he was - well I dont want to know. I still want to listen to Inchworm and cry with pleasure at such a simple and beautiful song. Please dont poison childhood memories. The man is dead and cannot defend himself - and you'll never outfox the fox.......

There are many biographies that reveal a star to be less angelic than the characters they have portrayed, or for some to be of a kind disposition but typecast as a ruthless villain, but somehow I cannot believe that Danny Kaye could ever be described as "overbearing"
