ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly was told on Thursday that more than 7,000 cases of rape and murders of women were registered between 2005 and 2007, in addition to 1,019 cases of honour killings. According to statistics tabled in the Lower House, the total number of honour killing cases is 1,019 321 in 2005, 339 in 2006 and 359 in 2007. Stove burning cases include 18 cases in 2005, 17 in 2006 and 10 in 2007.
