| I just miss the relative loyalty in tandem with the chance of anyone winning the title. Now the EPL is the worlds dominant league, but I wouldn't say it's the best. Even if Spain has the big 2, and Italy the big 3, in those leagues it's still more likely that a club outside those positions will cause an upset. Take a look at the Champions from the last 20 years in each of the 3 leagues and count how many times a club from outside the big 2,3,4 won or broke the pattern. The EPL is just money. |

| I was a kid in the 70s and remember watching some of these games on the telly with my dad. The strikes and turmoil (IRA etc.) were bad, but in my little bit of England they were the best bloody days of my life! Just wish I had a time machine now :-( |
