Video Description:
Just before the passage of the historic 700 Billion bailout bill passed by Congress, Ron Paul explained why he was voting against the bill. This is not an endorsement or criticism of Ron Paul - just food for thought. I watched most of the debate before the vote and Paul was one of the more interesting speakers. If you have a funny feeling that something is out of whack in the economic freak out going on around the world, this may make some sense. But then again, maybe not. Depends on you!
He said: "Madam Speaker I rise in strong opposition to this bill because it won't solve our problem...

If it was inevitable, why did FDIC insurance and the federal reserve prevent financial panics for 70 years? Why did Sweden solve a similar crisis in the 1990s?
We had financial panics in 1837, 1857, 1873, 1890, 1907, and 1929 while we were on the gold standard.

I didnt have a clue until just last week how corrupt our leaders were. The sad thing is it is almost all of them except for a small groip like ron paul. Ive been telling my kids for years now that we need a leader who is a true patriot, ron paul is that leader and we need to getthe word our before the 2012 presidential election. He is our only hope of true freedom again.
