In memory of
Nikola Tesla 1856 - 1943, and his contribution to science.   This rare film stars Orson Welles and features a dramatic recreation of a meeting between Nikola Tesla, Industrialist J.P. Morgan and Thomas Edison, that would decide the fate and future of today's Electric Power Industry in America an
d the world.   Nikola Tesla is regarded as one of the most important inventors in history. He changed the world with the invention of the AC (alternating current) induction motor, making the universal transmission and distribution of electricity possible. So why is he virtually unknown to the gen
eral public?   Nikola Tesla's contributions to science include the fields of Robotics, Ballistics, Computer Science, Nuclear Physics, and Theoretical Physics. In 1943, the Supreme Court of the United States credited him as being the inventor of the Radio. But what happened to Tesla? See the Movie

Thomas Edison: a very clever anti-Semite whose contributions should be noted with respect, but whose brilliance is well overrated. Telsa was a true visionary, humanitarian, and genius.

That opening shot uses extremely deep focus, most probably as a tribute to Welles' deep focus directing style.

Understanding Nikola Tesla is the great thing here! You know he came up with wireless power downloadable directly from the Earth's atmosphere (FREE POWER FOR ALL THE WORLD - 3RD WORLD CONTRIES INCLUDED!!!) and they refused to allow it. Shows you what the uSA thought of equality for all peoples in that time. Just like now. If they're brown BOMB THEM, if they're black, enslave them. Makes me so sad!

The actor playing ... ( 1 year ago by waltcosmos44)
The actor playing Tesla looks AMAZINGLY like Tesla himself. Tesla was in fact the greatest genius in the world. Einstein wasn't fit to lick his boots. Da Vinci was okay but he had penetrated a higher state of consciousness so that doesn't count.

In the original Superman comic books, the "mad scientist" that superman fought, with his death ray, was in fact modeled after Nikola Tesla! Tesla offered to implement radar in World War One but the War Department thought Tesla was out of his mind, and declined. It finally got "invented" in the middle of WW II. And Tesla, NOT THAT A55HOLE MARCONI, (tesla's employee) invented radio and was broadcasting several weeks before Marconi, with his stolen invention.

Yes, Both Tesla and Edison were great men, but Edison just did not like AC. But for some reason, everybody knows Edison, and nobody knows Tesla...

As a consolation prize, the supreme court did eventualy award Tesla with the credit for the original invention of Radio. However the name Marconi had already been burned into the public psychi by then and so the supreme court rulling was virtualy un-noticed in main stream society

I know. Actually, Tesla actually made his plans for his particle beam weapon essentially unattainable. He knew they could annihilate entire cities, just like in science fiction stories...just VAPORIZE them...so he didn't want anyone knowing how to do it. The man who CREATED the twentieth century...and he's a virtual unknown.
I can personally ... ( 1 year ago by UFOTVonline)
I can personally attest to the fact that over the last 15 years Tesla has become a pop culture icon. UFOTV distributes a documentary and movie on his life and in all the years that we have been marketing these videos we have watched as this 15 year trend has unfolded. Unfortunately the damage is done and nothing can change the stigma of the past, but there will be a technological day of reckoning in the not to distant future regarding this energy-grid mentality. Be well my friend!

Damn you, invention thieves! I should have met Tessy, not Eddy, in Terranigma. Expand the "criticism" section of Edison's wikipedia page to make him look like the slothful, jealous phony he was.

There have been a bunch a bios out that sought to correct the bad rap he got in history and set the record straight about the wars for domination of the US power grid. The first one I remember reading was in the early 80s when I was quite young - turned me on to the whole epic. The other day I was walking along 34th St in NYC and passed in front of a building with a plaque commemorating his life.

Tesla was working in Budapest (for Budapest telephone Exchange) when he had his induciotn motor 'revelation'. It was in a park in Hungary, as the big man says. He'd been reciting some of Goethe's Faust by memory when the idea came. Birthplace is Smiljan near Gospic. Looks like a well made film :)

Tesla has nothing to do with the serbians nowdays. Tesla was an intelligant man compared to serbian cavemen. Hardly to believe they have something in comon ^ ^
