That crazy looking guitar was a collaborative effort between Pat & the Canadian luthier of his choice, Linda Manzer. It took him a year to learn how to play the damn thing!

I saw Pat with his sextet in State College about 3 years ago. he played a solo on this instrument that was just killer. That was actually the first concert of the "The Way Up" tour. they opened by playing the whole album front to back. it was rediculous.

Hmm. Obviously, Pat is capable of playing any type of music that he wishes to. I'm used to hearing him play jazz. I thought that this was kind of pleasant, but nothing really happened. This sounded very "new age-y" to me. It would be relaxing to listen to if I was at a health spa in a jacuzzi with cucumbers on my eyelids, but musically I found this to be boring. Sorry...
