This song came out ... ( 11 months ago by nrthdude1)
This song came out in 1976/1977 when this sort of melodic Dionne Warwick/Burt Bacharach pop music was on its last leg. Serious, adult themed music in pop and rock would very quickly be replaced by disco, dance, punk and New Wave.

Olivia skated fast landing Grease within a year, and went on to pop-rock with "A Little More Love," and "Magic." Then on to dance music "Physical" and "Make a Move on Me." Her music became less adult and more youth-oriented, because the young audiences of the 1980s didn't care about serious matters like the young music audience in the 1970s who were influenced by the 1960s.

So much prettier than the current crop of Beyonces, J Los, Jessicas and Lindseys. Such a shame what happened to female pop music.

Unfortunatly, nowadays, every little female wannabes have less troubles trying to emulate the current crap on the air. To do this type of song(Olivia's that is) requires talent and practice... and work. It is much easier to try to be an American Idol than to really work as Olivia NJ did.
