Classic stuff. Worth checking into, definitely. There are a lot of websites and great books you can get a hold of.... Many great videos - especially of the surviving band members telling great stories. You should watch the movie about them starring Val Kilmer. You'll become obsessed too!

My daughter watched the movie about four years ago and then she got hooked. You'll love 'em. Hope you enjoy! They are definitely worth remembering!

Uh.... No. That'd be "The Doors" movie from about 1991, starring Val Kilmer and Meg Ryan. It is is actually on VH1 right now. You should catch it sometime. It has a lot of parts that are fabricated, but it gives a good illustration of how the band came to be - and the sad, untimely death of Jim.
