What I love about Metheny, and some other jazz guitarists, is that his playing is steeped in the sound and feel of the blues. The blues is always in his backpocket.

it almost looks like metheny just started playing this and everyone took the hint. check out steve swallow's face when metheny modifies that opening lick to the Db chord, didn't see it coming. just awesome
